If you couldn’t already tell, Diego is quite the dapper little prince with a need for speed — aka some zoomies and a nice game of fetch with his favorite ball. He’d be the ideal dog for anyone in search of a low-riding workout buddy.

Diego is a true snuggler and will rest his head on your head or lap in coveted lapdog fashion! He’s housebroken and will let you know if he needs to go out by sniffing his leash and walking to the door. He’s also crate trained.

Diego is quite social! He loves meeting new people. He tends to jump in a state of initial excitement but we’re working to build a sense of calm into him with training. He already tends to calm down right after the initial meeting. His foster parents have also reported that lately Diego has “dramatically improved his sit and wait commands.” Since Diego is a young and is working on learning the ropes and some manners, the folks over at the shelter think that he’d do best in a home with older dog-experienced teenagers and adults only.

Diego could also be the ultimate road trip buddy since he LOVES being in the car; your car, other peoples cars, any car with the door open (even the trunk) that he can climb his way into. He’s basically a bundle of happiness!
