Note from dog
Learning about animal sentience is key to advocating for their welfare and general wellbeing. This is a fitting segue into the newly released episode of our podcast, an interview with neuroscientist Dr. Kathy Murphy. Simply put, Kathy teaches us about dogs’ brains. There are few people who can speak as mellifluously and knowledgeably as she does on this topic!

“Sometimes a magical dog comes into our lives, even if just for a short time, and changes our entire world in a split second. Bunny is one of those dogs. She came from Rome, Georgia, where she was a stray. Her tail has a mind of its own, and it just won’t stop wagging. Bunny is a fun-loving, happy pup who walks great on a leash and wants nothing more than to be with her human all the time. Expect lots of hugs with Bunny!!

Alas, there is a sad story to share with you: During Bunny’s medical evaluation, the veterinarian discovered that Bunny has a terminal congenital liver abnormality and won’t likely see her third birthday. So far, her good days are outnumbering the bad ones. Soon she will probably have plateaus of good health followed by flair-ups because of her condition. With her current health condition and well-being in mind, ARF is quite literally looking for a local hero. This beautiful pup would want nothing more than a home to call her own. Her current medical team will continue providing Bunny’s medical care. The shelter will cover all vet services, food, and medication-related expenses. Bunny will happily give anyone kind enough to take her a lifetime’s worth of love, even with all that she has left. If you have a comfy bed in your home and a heart full of love and compassion, please hit the adopt button today and give Bunny the best place that she would know as her the one and only, loving home.”
