To be sure, there are a number of differences between American Bulldogs and Pugs: appearance, personality, size, and maintenance are among the top four. The American bulldog is much larger than a pug and differs greatly in appearance. Their personalities are also quite different. While both are affectionate and loving canine breeds, Pugs do tend to be better with young children. And, each has its own set of grooming requirements.
