Meet Spot! You may notice that he’s a little different in the sense that he is considered to be a tri-pod dog with just one front leg and both back legs. Don’t be fooled, though: with three legs, Spot is still unstoppable! He’ll jump up on the couch, bed, or chair for cuddles. He’ll go on short walks around the block, and he gives the most adorable little kisses in the morning.

Spot is a well rounded dog who adapts to new environments easily. He has overcome the puppy tendencies of chewing on things, and he is even a champ in the car! He’s learning how to walk a little better on the leash and has a “sports wrap” that he can wear on the amputated leg portion when he is active for that extra layer of support. The wonderful crew at Animal Lighthouse Rescue considers Spot to the the absolute perfect dog! Unfortunately, his life did not start off as intended. He was hit by a car, and his left arm was fractured beyond repair. After an orthopedic evaluation, the best course of action was to amputate the leg, so Spot could live a full life, which is exactly what he’s doing! He’s absolutely amazing!

Spot is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccinations.
