Moshi needs to be placed in a special home that will work with him on becoming the best version of himself. He was surrendered by his previous owners due to some possessiveness with toys and bones, so experience with resource guarding is essential. He can be wary of quick hand movements, so this will need to be a consideration as well. The right trainer, one who understands this area of behavior is a must. It can be resolved.

Moshi is house trained, obedient, and loves tricks. He knows sit, stay, look, touch, spin, shake paw, and more. He walks nicely on-leash and is not reactive to other dogs when walking (though he is dog selective overall). Moshi likes rides in the car and enjoys seeing new places. He has also enjoyed doing introductory scent work at the shelter and is a candidate for more scent work and tracking.

His ideal home is one with quiet adults who understand hounds, will use positive reinforcement training, are active, and will give him the exercise he needs, both physically and mentally. Because he can be dog selective and guards resources, he might be better as the only dog in the home. Moshi is super smart, and he’s a love! Given a chance with the right trainer and human family, he’s going to be a wonderful companion!
