Howls From The Founder
In our latest podcast episode, #9, Drew and I take the deep dive into brain development with neuroscientist Kathy Murphy. She explains how dogs’ brains develop throughout their lives starting in puppyhood. It’s a really big deal because if you understand some of the basics and get things right in puppyhood, you'll set the dog up for success! That means a happier dog, and a lot more joy from your companionship.

Meet Grey! He is a 5 month old, 17 pound, Lab mix. Grey has beautiful, seductive eyes and a huge, sweet heart to go along! He loves to play, run around with his siblings and could cuddle on the couch forever. He loves any bit of attention he can get and will rub up against your legs asking you to pet him.

Grey’s mother is named Pinky. She was a stray found in Puerto Rico. A Good Samaritan brought her to the shelter noticing that she was skin and bones, all while pregnant. Pinky was grateful to be saved knowing how much she had been through. She gave birth to four wonderful puppies — Grey being one of them — shortly after rescue.

Grey loves other dogs, and the folks over at Animal Lighthouse Rescue think that with the right introduction he’d do well around cats too. He hasn’t met children yet, but they think he would be just as polite and loving to them as he is to everyone else he meets. Grey is quite intelligent and will take to more puppy training like a pro. Already, he can use a pee pad and sleeps through the night like a champ.

Grey is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccinations. For more information about him, please fill out our application and email Grace@alrcares.com. Meet and greets are arranged for approved adopters only. The application is the first required step in their approval process.
