From Tessa’s Foster: If you’re looking for a gentle, goofy, happy, and super sweet girl, Tessa could be the one for you! She has completed a four-week board and train with K9 Command and she made great progress with leash confidence and commands. We have no doubt she is capable of learning so much more!

Tessa takes a little time to warm-up to meeting new people, but once she does, she’s your biggest fan! She loves to smile, snuggle, play, and knows all the best looks to steal your heart! Her eye contact game is on point!

Tessa hasn’t met a dog she doesn’t like! Rain or shine, Tessa absolutely loves being outside in the yard . . . romping, running and tossing toys around. She’s also content lying in the grass, watching the birds and soaking up the sun. She is getting better about alone time, but she would ideally be adopted to a family with previous dog experience and/or with another playful well-adjusted dog to help her become comfortable in her new surroundings.

When adopted, Tessa will have an in-person training session as well as lifetime trainer support provided by K9 Command to help get her off to a great start and keep up her progress with her new family.

History: Tessa transferred from our rescue partner in Texas and arrived in Seattle area foster care on 1/13/23.
