Tank

Tank is a beautiful, almost white, four year old Lab who joined Safe Harbor Lab Rescue because his owner became ill and was not able to care for him any longer. He’s classic Lab . . . all love and a star personality! He’s been cherished since he was a pup.

Tank is currently settling into life in his foster home. Safe Harbor will soon have an update from his foster mom, but his former owner related that Tank is house trained and fine with free roam of the house. He’s a smart, food motivated Lab who knows a variety of commands including sit, stay, down, and to come when called. He rides well in the car, is a friendly greeter, and gets along well with other dogs off leash and in the home. On leash he’s very strong, so a Gentle Leader is best. Tank enjoys retrieving and is content to sleep next to your bed all night.

Like many Labs, he may have some allergies and is doing well on a limited ingredient diet (like ‘Natural Balance Limited Ingredient Chicken and Rice’ available at pet stores). We treated Tank to a dental cleaning, and he’s looking forward to showing off his “pearly whites” when you come to visit.

All told, he’s a strikingly handsome and friendly Lab. Heads are sure to turn when you step out together!
