SHELLY is an Intermediate level puppy. This means that ideally the adopter has primary dog ownership of a breed or energy level similar to this pup. At a minimum the adopters should have solid experience doing things like dog sitting, or fostering young dogs.
Her Foster Dad Says:
Shelly is a very smart and incredibly sweet pup. We’ve started our days with a short cuddle, then breakfast and a tinkle followed by more cuddles. She loves playing with her new toys, nosing around and just generally being involved in anything I’m doing. I’m pretty sure she thinks the apartment is hers, and I’m just living rent free, cuz she certainly lets me hear it if something isn’t to her liking! She has since learned how to sit, stay, and (kinda) come, and picked it up pretty quickly! She’s generally pretty good with using the pee pads, with the occasional puppy accidents. We’re still working on going on walks, but she had her first mildly successful one yesterday walking around the neighborhood for about 15 minutes. Like most puppies, she is working on separation anxiety and learning how to self soothe. It’s almost unfair how cute she is, especially how she loves to show off her very round pink belly, or how she nuzzles into my neck and chest for cuddles, or how her tail will wag very fast for a few seconds in her dreams. She’s a lovely and loving pup who is going to become an incredible dog, and her forever home will be a lucky one to have her.
