Dr. Schoen is one of the pioneers in holistic, integrative veterinary medicine. He has been acknowledged by his peers as being one of the fifteen most influential veterinarians in North America as well as worldwide for introducing the concept of an integrative approach to veterinary medicine. He received his DVM from Cornell U. College of Veterinary Medicine and has a Masters Degree Animal Behavior from the University of Illinois. He has been an Assistant Professor at Colorado State and Tufts University College’s of Veterinary Medicine. He published seven books including: “Veterinary Acupuncture: Ancient Art to Modern Medicine”, “Complementary & Alternative Veterinary Medicine”. He is the author of "Love, Miracles, Animal, Kindred Spirits” and “TheCompassionate Equestrian”. He has an honorary Ph.D. from Becker College for his contributions to veterinary medicine and received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Association of Veterinary Acupuncture for his groundbreaking contributions to Veterinary Acupuncture. His new project is “C.A.L.M.” ©, the “Conscious Animal Lovers Movement”. It is his approach to help all animal lovers co-create a healthier, happier, more harmonious world.
