Sadie, a massive German Shepherd who wasn’t comfortable around men, was turned away by multiple shelters. Brian Myers gave her a chance. She saved his life.
Brian Meyer decided to give her a chance. He adopted her, thinking he’d saved her. Soon afterward, Meyer had a stroke. He fell on the floor and couldn’t get to his phone to call for help.
Sadie helped him up, guided him across the room to his phone so he could call 911. He was in the hospital for a few weeks. Since he came home, he says, Sadie watches him like a hawk, always making sure he is safe.
